A new feature that DJ Event Planner just released a few weeks ago will help you speed up the booking process. It will also potentially increase your closing ratio. This head-turning new feature is E-Signatures.
E-Signatures allow your clients to sign their contract online. No longer will they need to print off the contract and mail it to you. Then can now instantly sign your contract via their web browser. Once signed, both the client and you will be sent an email with the signed document attached. This signed document will also appear in your DJEP account attached to the appropriate event.
To get started, go to one of your email templates. Click on Edit, then look for the E-Signature Merge Tag section. Expand the section to view the options, and select which document you want to have signed. Simply copy and paste the merge tag into the email template and you're done! If you want, there are additional settings on a per-document basis.
This awesome new feature is available now. We have several ideas for making this feature better and will be implementing those in the weeks to come.
Chrome Back In The Game?
The DJEP application has always worked great in all browsers. However, we recently suggested NOT using Google Chrome. The primary reason was the extremely limited print settings. There was no way to control whether the web page headers/footers printed on HTML documents. This meant that everything printed via Chrome would have time and date stamps and page URL at the top and bottom of printed pages. In Firefox, Safari, Opera, and Internet Explorer there is a setting for this so they wouldn't show up. For some reason Google Developers have refused to add this critical setting.
The print engine for Chrome was updated a few weeks ago. The bad news is that there is STILL not a setting for the header/footer information. The good news is that there doesn't need to be. Chrome now does not print that information at all.
The Chrome update included a prettier and more usable print page interface. Unfortunately, it still lacks the ability to set the page margins. They appear to default to 1.0 inch on the top/bottom/left/right. By setting the margins in other browsers to 0.2 inches you can fit more onto a printed page. With the smaller margin settings available on other browsers, you documents will more easily "fit onto one page".
Right now we are recommending that you try printing your documents in Chrome to see how they handle the 1.0 inch margins. If the documents fit on one page, then you can begin using Chrome again. If not, then you should probably continue to use one of the other major browsers because of their additional print settings.
